SME-specific service enables employee welfare programme for EED
Eastern Exhibition & Display (EED) is a small company with a big vision. Thanks to Towergate Employee Benefits it has now developed and implemented a welfare programme for all 25 of its employees, a much-appreciated move after the extra efforts they have been putting in to help other businesses through Covid.
Shevy Kapoor, Finance & Operations Director at Eastern Exhibition & Display, proudly states: “All of our employees and their families now have access to 24/7 Smart Health, which includes a virtual GP, second medical opinion, mental health support, online health check, nutritionist consultation, and fitness programme. We now also have Lifeworks, a confidential 24/7 employee assistance programme (EAP) and bereavement counselling/probate support.”
All the benefits from Smart Health have been made possible for the small business through AIG Life’s group life assurance policy and Towergate Heath & Protection’s awareness of how to maximise benefit provision for relatively little cost
Lisa Wilson, Group Risk & Protection Consultant at Towergate Employee Benefits, says: “We have a specific offering for companies looking to provide group life cover, which includes a host of health and wellbeing support options. It’s ideal for our smaller clients and includes AIG’s ‘Smart Health’ app for all insured employees and their immediate family.”
Based in Edinburgh, Eastern Exhibition & Display offers creative and practical display solutions, with both graphic and exhibition build services for interior and exterior projects. The company has remained open in a Covid-secure manner throughout the pandemic and has been working to provide fast printed messaging and coronavirus signage for its customers to help get staff safely back into their workplace and to inform visitors.
“With everyone having worked so hard, under difficult circumstances throughout the pandemic, Eastern Exhibition & Display wanted to ensure that they were looking after employee health and wellbeing,” continued Lisa Wilson. “It is great to see a small company being able to offer the sorts of benefits normally associated with larger corporate entities. SMEs and Start-ups so often have the forward-thinking nature, but it is about finding the right benefits to support this.”
Eastern Exhibition & Display previously had life cover for employees that just provided a bereavement service as additional support. Having reviewed and switched their policy, they have not only saved money but also added value with numerous additional services and support options that make up a wider health and wellbeing programme. They appointed Towergate Employee Benefits in January 2021 and have had plenty of positive feedback from employees.
